Home Cleaning

How Often Should You Actually Clean Each Part of Your Home?

Busihive Team3 min read

Some things need wiping every day; others are fine for months. Knowing the right rhythm keeps your home consistently clean without scrubbing things that don't need it. Here's a simple cadence to work from.

Every day. Wipe kitchen benches, wash up or run the dishwasher, give the sink a quick rinse, and do a one-minute tidy of living areas. High-touch and high-mess spots reward daily attention most.

Every week. Vacuum and mop floors, clean bathrooms (toilet, shower, basin), change bed linen, dust surfaces, and empty the bins. This is the core of a regular clean.

Every month. Wipe down skirting boards and doors, clean the microwave and rangehood filter, dust blinds and light fittings, and tackle the inside of the fridge.

Every season. Clean the oven, wash windows and flyscreens, steam carpets and lounges, wash curtains, and declutter wardrobes. This is the "spring clean" tier.

The realistic version. Almost nobody hits every item on schedule, and that's fine. Let a regular clean handle the weekly core, and book a deep or seasonal clean for the rest. Set up recurring cleans on Busihive and your whole schedule runs itself.
